The Incredible Women Project!
Numbered explanation
1) You ask and I add you to the list
2) you get an e-mail asking you to agree to be on the list
3) you pick a woman or two and put your initials by her name on the list.
4) you start researching her
5) Blog about the experience, about your research methods, you think up questions to ask your Woman if she were alive (heheh yer woman, hahaha), and
6) write up an article in the style and length of your choice.

Word explanation
My new year resolution this year is to find female role models and we all know how easy it is to make these resolutions and then a week later feel like you're kinda forgetting something important but you don't remember what. So I decided to make a resolution that requires friends (that's you) to help me keep it. What do you get out of it? Nothing.

So here's the deal. I've come to notice that I know next to nothing about the profound contribution of women to global movements and to my own liberation, both past and present. So I decided to put together a list

What we've decided to do is make a list and spend each month learning about one of these amazing women, learning about what they wrote/said/died for and how they decided to live their lives, and - all along the way - exchange notes and eventually writing short articles about why these women deserve to be on this list.

Now this is a collective blog, so every one of us who's involved will contribute/edit/design/delete material to make this information as easily accessible as possible. If it all works out we should have a party at the end of the year, celebrating these women! May 2011 be the year of the woman!

IMPORTANT: If you'd like to join this project, please please do by writing theincrediblewomenproject@gmail.com ALL ARE WELCOME!

Lia,
Haven't a clue what I'm doing, but planning to educate us all about Harriet Tubman since Feb is Black History Month. Cheers - Ida
